A Pahokee woman is facing charges that she stood guard with a handgun while two men attacked a victim with a baseball bat, according to an arrest report.

Cassandra Porter is facing charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and fleeing and eluding law enforcement. Porter, 46, is being held in the Palm Beach County Jail in lieu of $9,000 bail.

A 46-year-old man told police he was sitting in from of a convenience store Thursday on the 600 block of SW 6th Street in Belle Glade when Porter pulled up in a vehicle along with two male passengers. One man allegedly held the victim down and punched him while the second male beat the victim in the ribs and head with a baseball bat, the report said.
While the beating took place, Porter allegedly acted as a cover, waving a black handgun in the air and warning: “Nobody better come over here and try to stop this!”
Porter and the two men left in a vehicle once they saw the victim was bleeding profusely from the head,

the report said. The man was taken to Lakeside Medical Center where he received stitches above his right eye.
The attack was caught on surveillance video, according to Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputies.
Porter attempted to flee in her vehicle after the car was spotted by a sheriff’s deputy, the report said. Porter continued driving until she reached her residence.
A black .38 revolver and a baseball bat were found in the vehicle, the report said.
Frederick Davis, one of the two men allegedly involved in the attack, was also arrested and is facing a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Davis, 19, is facing a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Records show that Davis lives at the same Pahokee address as Porter.
The second male who took part in the attack is not identified in the report, possibly because he is a juvenile. The report does not indicate if he was arrested.
