“So be it as written, death doesn’t escape,” 23-year-old Davion Coslay sent via text to his 20-year-old ex-girlfriend along with at least 30 other threatening text messages, violating a restraining order against him, according to Riviera Beach Police.

Coslay, a Lake Park resident, was arrested in Greenacres on Monday night on charges of aggravated stalking and intimidation. He was court-ordered on June 15 to cease contact with the victim, with whom he has a child with, according to police.

Coslay asked the court to reduce his child support, but when the judge refused to do so, he became angry in the courtroom, according to the police report. Within half an hour of leaving the courtroom, Coslay bombarded the victim with text messages, police report.

“Tunnel closing in on life,” “Hell to you and company,” “Watch your step” and “RIP” using a skull emoji were all examples of text messages Coslay sent.

The victim told police that she felt threatened because Coslay had been physically abusive to her in the past, according to the report. The victim had the tires on her car slashed on two occasions in the past. Although police have no evidence that Coslay slashed the tires, the victim told police she suspects it was him, according to the report.

Coslay was taken to Palm Beach County Jail. At his first appearance in court, a judge ordered bail be set at $40,000 and Coslay have no contact with anyone but his lawyer while in jail.

When a convicted felon attempted to steal a 74-year-old woman’s car by breaking the window and damaging the steering column, he left behind just enough blood for Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office to arrest him two years later.

Richard Thomas Joseph III, 39, was charged Monday with vehicle burglary, attempted grand theft auto and criminal mischief. He was released from state prison in January after serving a one year, 8 month sentence on a separate grand theft auto charge from 2014, according to records.

Detectives were first notified that the 74-year-old victim’s 1994 tan Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera had been broken into in July 2013 outside of her home in unincorporated West Palm Beach. The window on the driver side had been shattered and the steering column had been manipulated, according to detectives. Detectives spotted blood mixed into the shattered glass under the steering column.

The blood was sent to a lab to be processed in January 2014, according to the police report. The DNA results were then run through a database and found to match Joseph’s DNA.

Records show that Joseph has been sentences to time state prison on five different occasions. He served four years beginning in 1994 for burglary, robbery and aggravated assault. He served 10 months for marijuana possession with intent to sell in 2000. He then served five years in 2005 for two charges of grand theft auto.

He was taken to Palm Beach County Jail on Monday where he awaits $11,000 bail.

Police arrested Trabonte Mitchell, 19, of Riviera Beach and two juveniles Sunday on charges that include grand theft auto, loitering and prowling and reckless driving.

A 14-year-old boy and 17-year-old boy were Mitchell’s alleged accomplices, police said. They were taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center in suburban West Palm Beach. The Palm Beach Post generally does not identify juveniles who have been arrested unless they are charged as adults.

Mitchell remained in custody Wednesday night in lieu of $20,000 bail.

According to a police arrest report, the town’s license plate recognition system detected a stolen Chrysler traveling east over the Royal Park Bridge shortly before 7 p.m. Sunday.  An officer spotted the vehicle at the intersection of Cocoanut Road and Peruvian Avenue.

Officers attempted to stop the car as it made its way to the intersection of Peruvian and South County Road. The car’s driver sped away. The car continued to the Palm Beach Towers before its occupants got out and fled on foot, police said.

Police set up a perimeter and caught the 14-year-old after he climbed bushes and jumped over a fence.

Mitchell and the 17-year-old were seen running toward the Breakers Hotel golf course, police said. They eventually were caught near the hotel’s restaurant.

The youngest teen reportedly told officers  he ran when Mitchell told him the car was stolen. He spontaneously uttered that he previously was accused of grand theft auto and had just recently been released from the juvenile detention facility.

The 17-year-old allegedly told officers the group went to Palm Beach because Mitchell wanted to steal a Jaguar.  They reportedly went to the parking garage of an apartment building and broke into several cars.  They stole various items and tried to steal a black Audi, but the car would not start, police said.

Mitchell confessed to driving the stolen Chrysler and told officers that he had been smoking marijuana earlier in the day, the report said.
