Three men and a 17-year-old were arrested after a neighbor in Boca Del Mar noticed men going around a complex parking lot and breaking into cars, including a Palm Beach County Sheriff deputy’s truck, according to a report.

Jerri Duncanson, 39, Derrick Livingston, 21, Qumayne Jones, 18, and an unidentified minor face charges of vehicle burglary.  All three men remain in the Palm Beach County jail on various bail amounts.

On Saturday, Duncanson said he waited for his wife to fall asleep near Pompano Beach, then he took his stepson, Livingston, and his friends to McDonald’s for some food, according to the report. After, the group drove to the Boca Walk development, just north of West Palmetto Park Road and east of Powerline Road and began pulling on car doors to see if they were unlocked, according to the report. Duncanson told investigators he went into about 13 unlocked cars getting whatever he could get.

Items ranged from golf bags and wallets to laptops and vacuums, according to PBSO. Duncanson said he took a tablet from the PBSO truck, according to the report. Livingston told investigators he took a scooter that was up against a mailbox.

Two of the men involved said they were asleep in the Explorer they were picked up in, so it is unclear from the report who was helping Duncanson go through the cars.

In 2013, Duncanson was arrested in Broward County on robbery charges. In 2012, Livingston was arrested in Broward on burglary charges, prowling and aggravated battery. Jones does not appear to have any arrests.

A 36-year-old woman had her mother in the passenger seat and children in the backseat as she attempted to leave a McDonald’s parking lot on Military Trail on July 6.

As soon as she parked, she saw Ritz running toward her car, holding the crowbar, she told deputies

Ritz began hitting the passenger side of the windshield with the crowbar, causing glass shards to hit and cut the mother, the report said. Deputies found blood in the car from the cuts.

Neither of the children were injured.

Ritz then got back into his car and drove away.

Deputies ran the license plate and drove to the suburban West Palm Beach address listed, where they found his ex-girlfriend.

She told police that she had kicked Ritz out three days prior because of his “aggressive behavior,” the report said.

The investigation of 27-year-old Edward Morton’s death on May 27 continues with the release forensic sketch of the man suspected of shooting Morton outside his parents’ Boynton Beach home on the 400 block of Northwest Third Avenue.
