Boynton Beach police were called to the Two Georges restaurant at 728 Casa Loma Blvd. after Butler allegedly tried to walk out on a $140.75 bill, the report said.

Butler allegedly ignored a manager’s repeated requests to pay the bill and walked outside. The manager followed and watched as Butler emptied his pockets, including a handgun, the report said. Butler removed two bullets from the handgun, then placed it back into his pocket without threatening anyone, the manager told police.

As Butler, who witnesses said was drunk, walked away, the gun fell out of his pocket, the report said. The manager grabbed the gun and maintained possession of it until police arrived.

During the incident, the manager told police that Butler was disturbing other customers by “bumping into them and touching them inappropriately,” the report said.

Police tried to get Butler’s version of events but his responses were “not understandable,” the report said.
