PBSO: Lake Worth woman intentionally crashes into boyfriend’s car, slashes tire, tries running him over

A Lake Worth woman is accused of trying to hit her boyfriend with her car, intentionally crashing into his car while following him, then slashing his tire Wednesday evening, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reports.

Angie Latoya Jones, 39, was arguing with her live-in boyfriend Wednesday outside of their home in unincorporated Lake Worth. She then got into her gray Dodge SUV and attempted to hit him with it, but he jumped onto the hood, the victim told police.

Jones told police that her boyfriend then smashed her car windows with a hammer, the report states. He told police that he smashed the drivers window with his hand, the report states.

Jones’ boyfriend got into his red Chevy and drove away, but Jones followed him, according to police. While driving, Jones intentionally hit the victim’s car with her SUV, according to police. While stopped at a grocery store on Lantana Road, Jones slashed one of the tires on the victim’s car with a knife, the report states.

The victim was angered and pulled out a hammer and threatened Jones, police report. Jones ran and he chased her, then smashed another window of her car with his hand, injuring his arm, according to police.

Jones had the victim’s cellphone and he asked for it back, she told police. Jones then threw the phone at him, missing him and instead smashing the rear window of his car.

The victim tried going back into the grocery store, but collapsed outside the store, according to police. He was taken to JFK Medical Center.

Jones is charged with aggravated battery with a vehicle and criminal mischief. She remains in Palm Beach County Jail awaiting $3,000 bail.
