Authorities are searching for a Loxahatchee Road Prison inmate who escaped custody this morning.

Philip Peletz was working outside of the prison near Okeechobee Boulevard and E Road when he walked off from the work area just before 10 a.m., according to the Florida Department of Corrections. K-9 units are currently searching the area for the 53-year-old.
Peletz is in prison on charges of theft and grand theft and was set to be released August 2018, according to the DOC website.
