Police are asking the public for help to identify a man who may be connected to burglaries at two gas stations in Delray Beach this week.
Monday morning a Valero gas station was broken into on the corner of South Congress Avenue and Lowson Boulevard, just east of Interstate 95, according to Delray Beach Police.

Though police said nothing was taken from the store, they believe the man may have been trying to steal cash from the register much like another gas station burglary around the same time in the area.
Just three miles from the Valero, a Shell gas station off of South Military Trail and West Atlantic Avenue was broken into and the cash was taken from the register. Police did not release video footage of that burglary.
Police did not say if the two events are connected, though they did say the two incidents are similar to recent burglaries committed in Broward and Miami-Dade counties.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Chris Trapasso at 561-243-7868 or Crime Stoppers at 800-458-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
