A prearranged meeting to pick up a child Sunday resulted in a man being attacked with a large kitchen knife, Boynton Beach police said.
Police arrested Kellyann Walker, 25, on a charge of aggravated battery. She is accused of attacking a 28-year-old man Sunday with a large kitchen knife while the man was buckling a 2-year-old child in the back seat of his car. The man received a cut of about 2 inches to his left forearm.
He declined medical attention.
Police say the man arrived at a home on Northwest Ninth Avenue shortly before noon Sunday to pick up the child. Walker reportedly yelled and screamed at the man from the front yard, then went inside to retrieve a kitchen knife.
The man reportedly told officers he has had issues with Walker regarding the child’s custody. The man said he and Walker have no formal agreement through the courts, police said. The man alleged that Walker was yelling about “old stuff” from their relationship.
Walker was being held without bail at the Palm Beach County Jail on Tuesday night.
