A North Palm Beach man is accused of conspiring to sexually batter his 1-year-old daughter in captured Facebook messages, according to the North Palm Beach Police Department.
Zachary Selzer, 22, was arrested Wednesday for conspiring to sexually batter a victim under the age of 12. The Department of Children and Families was anonymously sent screenshots of Facebook messages between Selzer and a woman he met online, according to police.
In the messages, Selzer writes that he would have sex with his 1-year-old daughter when she gets older. He also told the woman that he would be willing to commit sexual acts with the child while she was in his care, according to the police report.
The woman responds in the Facebook conversation by encouraging Selzer.
Selzer told police he was “high and drunk” when he sent the Facebook messages and never intended to act on it. He said he didn’t know the woman he was messaging, but they met on OpenStudy.com and had an online relationship.
Selzer remains in Palm Beach County Jail with no bail.
