Passanisi
When John Passanisi thought someone was stealing large amounts of change from his home, he decided to pepper spray them, according to Boynton Beach Police.
Passanisi, 53 of Boynton Beach by city police for simple battery and disorderly intoxication outside of the Carolina Ale House.
He told police that he suspected the victim of stealing change from his home and that he had gotten into a verbal argument with him.
The victim and two others with him said they tried to walk away from Passanisi, and return to their vehicle.
The altercation escalated, until Passanisi pulled out a small canister of mace and began to spray the victim in the face and around the vehicle.
His actions caused concern with the employees of the Ale House, and people began to leave.
Passanisi was taken to the South County Courthouse in Delray Beach.
