A Port St. Lucie man was shot and killed by a masked person who knocked on the door of an apartment on Southeast Darien Road early Tuesday, police report.
Beau Hartman, 29, was shot in the abdomen just after 1 a.m. He was taken to hospital where he later died.
Witnesses told police a masked person knocked on the front door of the apartment. Hartman and one other person walked toward the driveway to find out who knocked when they were met with the armed person, said Frank Sabol, of Port St. Lucie police.
The masked person fled after shooting Hartman, police say.
