An argument between two roommates over a missing gun landed a Jupiter man in jail this weekend.
Police arrested Andrew Frost on a charge of aggravated assault with a firearm early Saturday after he allegedly pointed a handgun and threatened his roommate. Frost was released under supervision later in the day after posting $3,000 bail.
The incident took place late Friday on West Whitney Drive, north of Indiantown Road and east of Military Trail. According to a probable-cause affidavit made public Monday, a man told officers Frost had come home after drinking and started slamming doors and yelling that his gun was missing.
The alleged victim said Frost banged on his door twice, the second time resulting in the man yelling at Frost to leave him alone. Frost allegedly pushed his roommate, prompting the roommate to push back.
Frost then pulled a Glock 19 handgun from his waistband and threatened to shoot his roommate, police said. The roommate fled the house and called police from a neighbor’s house.
Frost allegedly told officers he pulled the gun and pointed it because his roommate had pushed him. He admitted to drinking two beers before the incident, police said. Tests showed reportedly Frost had a blood alcohol level of .209 — more than double the legal level for intoxication in Florida, which is 0.08.
