Margaret Pomerantz, 48, is facing three counts of child neglect and one count of DUI. She is being held in lieu of $35,000 bail.

Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputies responded Friday morning to the Super Target store at State Road 7 and Lantana Road after a shopper reported an “extremely intoxicated” woman who could barely stand. The woman, according to the Target customer, got into a vehicle accompanied by children, the report said.

A deputy stopped Pomerantz’s vehicle at the intersection of Melody and Lyons roads after she narrowly missed striking a curb and sidewalk while making a turn, the report said.

Children ages 9, 10 and 11 were in the car with Pomerantz. The report does not state the relationship between the children and Pomerantz.

Two breath samples revealed that Pomerantz’s blood-alcohol level measured .204 and .197, well above the state legal limit of .08.

The report states that the children were turned over to Pomerantz’s husband.
