Two men who this morning fled from a state trooper in a black Mercedes crashed on the 10th Avenue in Lake Worth, then fled on foot, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said the Mercedes was seen traveling 91 mph southbound on Interstate 95 around 10 a.m. when the trooper tried stopping it. The Mercedes fled from the trooper, who couldn’t chase because he was on a motorcycle, spokesman Mark Wysocky said.
FHP released the description of the Mercedes and told other agencies to be on the lookout, Wysocky said. The same Mercedes later crashed off 10th Avenue and two men fled on foot, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
A parameter was set up to search for the unidentified men, but the search ended at noon, sheriff’s spokeswoman Teri Barbera said.
The men are still at large.
